Jason Mraz 在美國的維吉尼亞州出生，
跑去紐約美國音樂戲劇學院(American Musical and Dramatic Academy)學音樂劇。
再跑去聖地牙哥San Diego當街頭藝人，
Jason Mraz 和自稱是靈媒的流浪漢成為心靈伴侶，就開始四處放蕩。
流浪期間，Jason Mraz 遇到他的貴人，知名音樂人鼓手Toca Rivera。
從此之後就發跡及屌很大啦！
